“The Georgia game and score don’t matter”
Mike Seaver in always right again shocker.
Oregon preseason ranking: 11
Oregon ranking four weeks later: 12
Some of you are new to this whole college football thing so you get a pass but some of you screeching old timers need to learn the game.
I’ll take your apologies below
Thanks

Imagine flexing the first week of OCTOBER after being the beneficiary of this. A new low for @MikeSeaver
Sounds like you still want to make the argument that it mattered though.
Really doesn't matter
Quook controls their own destiny even as far as playoffs go imo. Win out and nobody will gaf about week one.
Blow out means no playoffs
I'm right. Mike is wrong
Hardly headline news
But still: @MikeSeaver
I should say "forgotten and/or dismissed/excused history." I'm not saying it's right or wrong, only that it's what happens.
Try it next time. You won’t believe it.
I checked and I'm right and Mike is wrong
But you're right too Chuck
Only Mike is wrong
Oregon winning out would be an impressive run. That means wins over UW and UCLA who will both be fringe top 25, Utah who could be higher than that, and a high ranked SC in the title game. There aren't 4 other contending teams who will win out, and Oregon's resume would be solid.
It's hyperbole to say it doesn't matter, but isn't that far from the truth if that played out as I said.
Chip's first game at UO was an embarrassment on the road. That could've been worse had it been someone like Georgia rather than a buttoned down Petersen team with limited talent. They went on to erase that one though.
Gimme a rose bowl against Penn St or Michigan and let’s roll.
