How about keeping them out in the first place and then word gets back to the people in the originating countries that making the trip isn't worth the risk. So less try to cross.
For the dementia patient, the border is secure, we have the greatest economy ever, the pandemic emergency is over (should never have started and it's still the official White House position that we are still in a national emergency - just didn't bother to tell Slo Jo) and we are ready to go to toe with the chicoms over Taiwan. And not one leftard choose to discuss what policy issues would cause them to vote for Cho Bai Den in 2024. Another leftard Profiles in Courage moment.
This is Ted Kennedy's legacy - the dems won't attempt to change immigration, will not work with the Repubs to do anything. The Republicans are fine with that also. Do you think that any immigration reform will happen if the R's gain control of the senate? This is all just a joke to the 535 law makers we? have elected. and the ones that never really were elected.

The border is another one of those issues where there really is a majority consensus on the issue. Most people want a secure border and some kind of orderly immigration process. We can quibble about the number of immigrants we allow in each year. But once again we don't get what we want.
Abortion is another issue where there is a majority consensus on keeping it legal but restricting it to the first 3 months. Almost seems like the parties want the issues and don't really want to pass any kind of majority consensus legislation.

Would you kill a fundraising issue if it meant less money in your campaign coffers? Uniparty at it's finest.

Neither side wants to fix these signature issues because there’s too much fundraising involved in them.

He gets away with these insane answers to real problems and walks away without any consequences.
Nah...that would never work.
