Did Tui beat Oregon this century? Didn't he lose in 2000.
Look I never claimed to be Mike Vorel out here
But yes I blew that one
Yes, you did Race.
While you’re at it, thank the Beavs for Washington even getting to the 2000 Rose Bowl.
I prefer to thank the team for beating Miami and a very good Beav.
Oregon was good and had a great year, tjere really wasnt much if any seperstion between the three Pac 10 teams, but they could also thank UW for some offensively bad offense and unimaginitive play calling vs Oregon. A program that had made its defensive living for most of the previous10 years off of stacking the box, until it rarely worked anymore, had no answer for Oregon stacking the box.

Washington beat the Beavers and the Canes
Hth
Beavs were rolling at end of the year with Babushka at the helm.
UO beat UW at Eugene UW beat OSU at Seattle. OSU rolled UO at Corvallis to create the 3-Way Tie in PAC-12 and send Washington to the Rose Bowl.
Great season for the NW schools All 3 won their respective Bowl games.
And then the tiebreak came to UO losing to the other UW. At least that is my recollection, non conference record was the deciding factor. It had to be since all other tiebreaker scenarios would have been ties anyway.
Beating the U > playing a 1AA (OSU had a win ineligible for the tiebreaker > losing to Wisconsin

Thanks for the history (tiebreaker re: no conference games) on the Rose Bowl selection for the 2001 game.
All Oregon had to do was beat the Beavs in Corvallis in the Civil War. Beavs rolled.

I actually blame Pete and Socha for that more than Browning. Dude needed roids and to be locked in the gym until he was a poor mans tebo.
He was an indestructible gumby pool floatie looking mother fucker. Muscle would have helped him so much, especially his bum shoulder.
But I'll never hate Browning after The Point. Best penalty UW has ever had
People forget about the surgery to Jake "Dead Arm" Browning
