I would claim that Scott Frost was the second coming of Jimmy Lake (as a head coach) but

Given Frost's length of tenure it is probably the other way around. Too bad Nebraska didn't have a Ruperake Fuavai a couple of years ago to shorten the misery.

The week of the Oregon game was just an epic nosedive that I don't think anyone still realizes just how bad Jimmy was.EwaDawg said:Given Frost's length of tenure it is probably the other way around. Too bad Nebraska didn't have a Ruperake Fuavai a couple of years ago to shorten the misery.

Lake attacking St. Ruperake during game
Firing JonDon the day after
Allegations of other abuse/attacks from Lake by anonymous sources
Jimmy getting suspended
To me, Frost was just a slow, painful death, more like Willingham than anything else -
Particularly painful since Frost, from what I know, is not the jack ass that Jimmy has pretty much always been. Also unlike Jimmy, Frost is one of the Nebraska's favorite sons and showed some evidence of coaching ability at one point in his career. His failure at Nebraska was cataclysmic. If I had to randomly guess at one thing to explain it, I would point to the comment he made at Oregon about the difficulty of recruiting to Ujean. It was a total loser comment. You can recruit to any fucking where if you're a winner, and you will struggle to recruit any fucking where if you're a loser. He probably didn't have the cojones it takes to go out and compete with anybody for the best talent and just accepted the level of talent that he thought he could get to Lincoln. Dr. Tom didn't win that way.whatshouldicareabout said:
