Movie Idea: Hardcore Husky working on a new screenplay
So we came up with the idea of a sequel to An Officer and a Gentleman: 40 years later
Richard Gere's character (Zach Mayo) is out of the Navy, and working at Jiffy Lube. Debra Winger's best days are behind her. She's shuffling around the double wide in her bunny slippers and yelling all the time. Lots of possibilities for storytelling.

Debra Winger is actually pretty funny these days in The Ranch on Netflix. (laugh track super annoying). In fact, she DOES live in a trailer in that show.

not to be a downer on this creative ideation session, but dude who now has a dead end career & wife's best days behind her who yells a lot...called life man. I don't think it's a unique situation and very few of us who are married with dead end careers would pay to go to a movie to "escape" that.

I came up with a movie idea this week. It's a sequel to A Christmas Story where Ralphie gets drafted to go to the Korean War. He gets captured by the chinks and is tortured by the memories of eating at the Chinese restaurant all those years ago. He vows to escape the POW camp and shoot all their eyes out. Call it A Christmas Story 2: Chosin Reservoir Blues.

If you’re involving Swaye, a sequel to Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner would have been a better fit and it could star Swaye himself.
Swaye, a a plucky Sentinalese native, entices the daughter of Kathy Hepburn and Sidney Poitier’s character when she visits him as a Peace Corps volunteer. She’s the first person not to be killed when visiting the island.
Visiting her parents in their mausoleum and introducing her to her family, Swaye is befuddled by the foreign burial concepts. He urinates on the wall, the crowd looks on in astonishment, but later laughs. Swaye looks at the camera, smiles and shrugs, freeze frame, theme from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” plays. -
