Movie Idea: Hardcore Husky working on a new screenplay
So we came up with the idea of a sequel to An Officer and a Gentleman: 40 years later
Richard Gere's character (Zach Mayo) is out of the Navy, and working at Jiffy Lube. Debra Winger's best days are behind her. She's shuffling around the double wide in her bunny slippers and yelling all the time. Lots of possibilities for storytelling.

Debra Winger is actually pretty funny these days in The Ranch on Netflix. (laugh track super annoying). In fact, she DOES live in a trailer in that show.

She ain't bad at 63 years old either. Cast her as @Swaye's mom who hooked up with a red man after her car broke down on the rez and she was stranded drinking with the savages in a sweat lodge.

not to be a downer on this creative ideation session, but dude who now has a dead end career & wife's best days behind her who yells a lot...called life man. I don't think it's a unique situation and very few of us who are married with dead end careers would pay to go to a movie to "escape" that.
