Dawgs would have got a 5 or 6 seed... Avoided Bama and Clemson in Round 1. UCF would have been the 8 and probably an at-large at the 7 seed.

This year is a complete outlier in terms of the number of teams with excellent records, and Michigan already got their shit pushed in by tOSU and ND. I’d rather have more regular season play between the Power 5 conferences and not allow ‘Bama to play the Western Carolinas of the world than having an 8 team playoff.
