We should bring in Hugh Freeze as an offensive consultant for 1 year

Huh...

Plus I don’t think the program is nearly dirty enough. Not like the glory days. Do these fucks want to win big or what?
-
Or just have Browning graduate and any offense would flourish

There's more to it.Pitchfork51 said:Or just have Browning graduate and any offense would flourish
See 2016 when Tedford was here, and our offense went down as soon as he left even though we had the same players. -
So the defense rotates and Aaron fuller can’t beat a 1-1, jimmies and joes
-
I'm not a Husky fan but if you keep this up I might become one
-
Too late.
Hired by Liberty. -
He makes his living on the deep ball. Yes in 2016 Ross could have waited for even more bombs from Jake but the last two years would have been a waste
People forget that Mr. Freeze liked to throw it up to String and beat Bama twice doing so -
This. Granted not many people want to work for almost nothing. But Tedford helped a ton. I think it's just a second set of eyes in the booth to watch what the other team is doing and adjust.Baphomet said:

I think you underestimate the impact John Ross had. Having a guy who could get so open that Browning can underthrew him by ten yards and still complete the pass made a huge difference. Tedford just happened to be here the year Ross was healthy and had an actual receivers coach to teach him how to run routes.Baphomet said:

Oh Jeezuz. I had no idea he was a bible thumper. I retract my entire suggestion.HillsboroDuck said:Too late.

Liberty is a fucking joke, lol. First they hire Baylor's AD, then they hire Hugh Freeze... Yeah I'm sure this will go well

It was basically his entire brand pre-scandal. -

If you need an offensive consultant, the coordinator probably sucks and should be fired.
-
The only part of his brand I had paid any attention to was that he was beating Bama, and that recently Auburn was considering him as their new OC.HillsboroDuck said:

I'm pretty good at ignoring information I'm not interested in, like how often a guy goes to church or fucks strippers. -
Like any recent high-powered college offense its predicated on run/pass options and zone reads and moving at tempo. They would throw deep if the defense over committed to the comeback route. Take what the defense gives you- novel stuff.RaceBannon said:He makes his living on the deep ball. Any offensive scheme is a waste if the defense knows they don't have to worry about the deep threat. -

Your 2017 and 2018 Husky offense
The combo no elite speed and a noodle arm made us very easy to defend
It makes Gaskin all the more amazing IMO
Edit to add that the return of Hunter helped a lot. It showed glimpses of what can be -
We should go air raid so we can just make excuses for all of our losses.
-
It's more than just Ross. Chico was legit with Tedford.

Both were issues, but we can actually see the drop off in the 2016 season after Tedford left for the Fresno job, which he accepted Nov 9, 2016.HillsboroDuck said:

Losing Ross >>>> Losing Tedford
In the six Pac12 games when Tedford was still here, we averaged 48 points per game.
In the four Pac12 games after Tedford left for the Fresno job, we averaged 36 pointers per game.

It could be that our SOS was slightly harder in the last 4 games, but I think Tedford was doing more for our offense, in terms of preparing weekly game plans (scouting the other team's D), than most people give him credit for. -
Do we consider Jake's shoulder a factor in this or naw?Baphomet said:

I've gone back and forth.

I mean its a given that they are massive hypocrites. We didn't need this episode to know that.HillsboroDuck said:

But I am sure they are thinking a successful football program is the best way to get free publicity with which to proselytize and bring more unsaved souls into the flock and thereby do the most good.
