I'm not a fan of it either. I'm all for making it easier to vote, but putting a ballot in somebody else's hands just doesn't seem right unless it's an official poll/postal worker where there's some oversight/accountability. Not whoever shows up on your doorstep.greenblood said:

I don't think people should be going door to door collecting ballots, at the same time physical polls are outdated and cumbersome for people.
For everything Oregon does wrong, they have voting down. We do mail in ballots with multiple drop off locations. We offer free annual bus memberships to low income families. If you are too lazy to take a bus to a ballot box, then your vote shouldn't count. Especially since you get your ballot about 2 weeks before election day.
Moving voting day to the weekend would also help, since more people work on Tuesdays than on Saturdays or Sundays. -

Voter ID laws are Constitutional and the government doesn't determine that they are a poll tax because if it did they wouldn't be allowed. Hondo is lying straight out of his ass.
That being said, nothing I advocated for comes even remotely close to being considered a "poll tax,"
