My eight year old son who was seven at the time had to have open heart surgery on March 26th. I had a 16 year old nephew that was somewhere in between a son and a brother. To call him my nephew really isn't fair. He suddenly died from a heart defect on July 28th this summer.
So I've been a little numb and without emotion for quite a while. It's all starting to hit me tonight and then go to the Rose Bowl here in a few weeks with my brother where my dad took us almost 30 years ago will be something awesome.

I can't imagine what you had to endure but I hope everything works out for the best with your son. My condolences for your nephew. I also had my fair share of shit this year. All I can say as long as I can come on this bored and watch my Dawgs things feel a little bit better. Enjoy the 🌹 bowl with your son and enjoy your son!

My kid had open heart surgery at UW in September. He's making a strong comeback and should be going back to work next week.
I hope your kid makes a full recovery and that this will be his last surgery - and I hope the Dawgs kicking OSU's ass helps him in that effort. -
