If you don't think we should offer Gee Scott Jr you don't understand recruiting.

Forget the OKG shit. He's simply not good enough. He doesn't dominate WA state talent. He doesn't have break away speed. He's not as good as Osborne, Spiker, or Davis. Spiker broke the California state record for touchdowns in a career for fuck sake. The 4-stars next to this kid's name will get him big name offers but the coaches have seen him in person multiple times and think they can do better. Simple as that. As we've heard from guys like Ayden Hector and Sam Adams, UW's selectiveness with who they offer makes the offer even more special. Not offering Gee Scott Jr. does not hurt UW's in-state recruiting efforts at all. It makes in-state kids want that coveted offer even more.
When Oregon lands Gee Scott and UW gets Silas Starr, StrongBad will tell everyone that UW got their man.
Silas Starr isn't even on UW's radar right now.

You can have him. Like I said, the only kids from the state of Washington Oregon can get are UW's leftovers.

Strongbad does ok for being a downy, but in real life applications it just doesn't look good.

Petersen hates it even when media types inquire just a little about recruiting ...

Here we have a very talented kid that:

    - has a minor history of diva behavior
    - has a dad that is outspoken and a bit of a loose cannon it seems and is part of the local media ...
    - uses twitter to advance private discourse between him and Petersen that Petersen will not respond to.

Put it all together and Petersen doesn't trust Scott Sr to keep his mouth quiet and allow the process to happen the way Petersen likes it. Scott jr is talented but not so talented that Petersen is willing to adjust his standards for.

Bottom line, unless Sr does an about face and keeps a low profile for an extended period of time and jr just plays football and minimizes distractions - jr is going somewhere else

Watched Clemson game yesterday and Dabo doesn’t offer underclassmen.

I'd expect nothing less. Always got to keep an eye on a guy in case he improves and becomes what UW is looking for. These are just high school kids after all. Some are later bloomers. Most have a lot more athletic potential than they show right now. But with the amount of WR's who have already been offered by UW, chances are they're going to fill up before ever offering Gee. WR's typically commit early because it's a very competitive position in terms of locking in scholarships.
