John Steinbeck's East of Eden. Sadly, this was the first title Oprah selected for her book club. FML. Shout out, of course, to our resident Salinas half brain, @BearsWiin .

Catch 22
Read it in the early 70's. Not sure how it holds up but it was something to behold -
Need to revisit that. Started once but got side tracked.RaceBannon said:Catch 22

I haven't read novels in a while. First one that jumps to mind is The Stand by Stephen King. #Highbrow

I used to read all the time. I cant really remember a favorite but I was a fan of Stephen King. Needful Things was good. He ended up getting a little too out there and at some point I switched over to Dean Koontz. Currently trying to read the GOT books. I am pretty sure @puppylove_sugarsteel is a big fan of if not THE AUTHOR of the Longarm series of badass pussy busting and tough guy lore.

All the Pat Conroy books -The Great Santini, Lords of Discipline, My Losing Season, Prince of Tides. Good shit.
And for @Swaye, the Sherman Alexie Rez novels. Though he’s taking a little break because his wiener got him in trouble. -
I used to read Robert Ludlam books on vacation long before Matt Damon
The books were cool -
Idk
Altered carbon is up there for sure -
That reminds me, I really enjoyed several of William Gibson's books back in the day.Pitchfork51 said:Idk

People tell me I look like the poor man's Matt Damon. I have met Minnie Driver once but she wasn't interest in me.RaceBannon said:I used to read Robert Ludlam books on vacation long before Matt Damon

She's pretty tall, too. Too bad she wasn't interested. Sad really.YellowSnow said:People tell me I look like the poor man's Matt Damon. I have met Minnie Driver once but she wasn't interest in me.
