Deserves own thread.

Calling that final time out when the Rams had their punting team on the field was the stupidest call of the season. It totally gave the Rams time to rethink their decision. Really stupid.

He's not a fucking idiot. He's won a Super Bowl and a NC for crissakes.

    He made a mistake.

His draft picks the last few years have been fantastic, As exemplified by the fact that the Rams and not have to punt today. At all.

Yeah what a loser. Gets to two Super Bowls, wins 90% of his games at USC. A total dolt.

He's pretty much an idiot at this point in his career but not because of that call. If he doesn't call that timeout everyone of us is screaming at him for leaving 30 seconds on the clock.

He's an idiot for not calling a timeout before the two minute warning. That was unexcusable.

Pete’s time management and lack of probability calculations is a defiency and always has been. Pete and many other coaches need a 22 year old caddy for this kind of stuff, yet refuse.

Brian Billick and Gene Chizik were great and then they were unemployed in 5 years. Genius fades fast in football.
Chizik was never great nor a genius but otherwise spot on poast.

    Bingo. This.

But, in the end, clock management doesn’t matter if you can’t stop the 🐏 offense

Pete’s an awesome culture builder and gets guys to play way above their heads. He’s a defensive genius when he has the horses on the DL. He’s a great coach. What keeps him from being an all-timer HC is the fact that he can’t manage the game. I love Pete and what he’s done for Seattle. It’s just time. We need a coach to build around Russell and his strengths. Also huge s/o to DJ Fluker my god that man dominated Suh in the run game all day.

The surprise to me was how well the HAWKS moved against my Rams.

Until it mattered of course. Losers lose. We're just happy to leave Seattle with a win

Pete coaches on the edge. He's also looking to score, and he's never playing not to lose. These qualities are great, but sometimes you need to coach with balance. Sometimes the best play call is the boring gut punch with beast mode, and not the flamboyant, I'm going to gift my qb a super bowl mvp trophy by throwing the ball into the end zone. It's also sometimes a good idea to kneel on the ball at the 50 and punt with about 10 seconds left then to go for the first down by giving the ball to your true freshman running back who's already fumbled once this year. Coaching with edge while admirable, sometimes isn't the right call.

On the 4th and short against Texas he had Heisman trophy winner Reggie Bush on the sideline. People forget that.

It is not that big of a deal. He lost the game because he couldn't stop the Rams from getting 800000000 yards. The draft picks the last few years are way more Schneider than Pete.

Pete has final say. Schneider just does the leg work.

I really don't think the Seahawks are far off. We will obviously let Wright walk. I would think hard about cutting Baldwin too depending on his guaranteed money.

Baldwin was one of the kick the can down road restructures to pull in Brown and Richardson last year. Hes got like a $13m cap number next year about half of which is dead if they cut him or trade him. He’s on the team at least through 2019 based on that.
