I'm not working hard at all. I didn't say Trump was a clean guy. No need to go down Hondo's strawman ass rape lane. I would think that if Trump really has done something illegal with his taxes, one of the many audits he has been subjected to would have come up with it. No work at all.creepycoug said:
Yes, I know Bob. I spend a good portion of my year structuring things to enable the latter. But I appreciate the clarification.SFGbob said:
Tax evasion and tax avoidance aren't the same thing. We know that Trump has been audited numerous times. How did NY state and the IRS miss this?creepycoug said:yeah, this is the last thing any group wants to focus on too much. people all over the political spectrum are guilty of tax evasion and of being in bed with Wall Street operatives.
How? Boy, I just don't know. Audits always seem to work in my experience.
You're working too hard here. Even an enthusiastic Trump supporter knows he's not a clean guy. Hell, that's part of his appeal to a lot of people.
We don't need a long and drawn out debate on this one. I'm sure that Trump has operated in ways that are not within the letter of the law, and I'm sure he's done worse than that. I'm also not sure I care. -
Why hasn’t that audit started? Unless you and gay bob (along with your elected representatives Cletus, Jethro, & Bambi (she’s a fine girl)) are functionally incapacitated and useless.Sledog said:
Half of DC will go to prison when they audit that Shit show!SFGbob said:

The dumb fucking left peddled that bullshit long enough
THAT'S WHY WE NEED HIS TAX RETURNS
No one cares but once again the left shows their hatred of America by breaking the law to leak tax returns
Ends justify the means comrades
Why can’t trump get treated fairly?
We already know you are in on illegal surveillance and leaking of tax returns by the IRS
Anything else? By any means necessary?

Come on man. You the think state auditors vs. Cravath, Swaine & Moore is a fair fight?
I don't know how successful Trump has been in avoiding audits in the first place, but if you have good representation and advisors you can get around things. It's not black and white when it comes to minimizing your tax obligations. It's not legal avoidance or illegal evasion. A lot of people making a lot of money are tasked with managing the in-between part.
And then there's just the shit that is well-hidden. -
How does this hurt Trump? Most people who voted for him are aware that he was a shady businessman.

In 2016 the democrats wanted to attack his strength. which was his self proclaimed business acumen.oregonblitzkrieg said:How does this hurt Trump? Most people who voted for him are aware that he was a shady businessman.
Problem now is the only resume that matters is what he has done in office and that looks pretty good. The NY real estate days are in the rear view mirror -
In other words they have nothing, just like with Kavanaugh. They need to invent stuff and go back to the days he was in high school. Shows you how weak their hand truly is, but instead of folding, they keep throwing their crediblity, constituionality and sanity away like a string of bad bets.RaceBannon said:

They think people are stupid and/or not paying attention to their trashing of American law and way of life. They will be paying for it come election time in a big way I think.

I'd make an argument but you never make any points and never contribute anything. Even HondoFS at least has some kind of narrative he clings to. LMK when you have something. It's funny that you're so triggered all the time though.CirrhosisDawg said:

Lmk when you’re able to say who is supposed to “cease” the corrupt irs and congress — your words. How can anyone “contribute” when it’s impossible to follow your bullshit?UW_Doog_Bot said:
