I think Democrats are trying to delay it to make Republicans look bad honestly. If they get him out of the picture, that's just bonus. They are pissed that Republicans stonewalled the vote in 16 and are doing the same here. Then after the vote they can throw the "the vote was a referendum on justices" like Republicans have been saying.
Sad thing is this that they don't see.....I believe this was the biggest issue to rile up voters to vote for Trump. It could very easily backfire and rile up more conservative voters this fall. -
