A couple of factors: night gaymes and loud blue collars being priced out and replaced by annoying fags (many who are transplants) .
I realize longshoretrannies and some trades make pretty good money there, but don't you need to put down like $1500 just to get tickets now? It's insane.
I pay $1,000 a year for 2 seats. No Tyee donation and I'm on about the 35 yd line.
Too many night game, but it has nothing to do with bed times. One or two night games as year is okay, but a majority of games starting after 6pm is bullshit.
That stadium and the whole experience sucks dick. Maybe in 1995 that was cool. It ain't cool anymore. You can experience the same shit at a mariner high school football game.
I haven't been to games since the season before @Owen12, but I would venture to guess that it's a combination of things, some of which you mentioned above.
Crowd doesn't know how to be a crowd. I do blame mobile devices to an extent.
The AD doesn't know how to create and sustain an atmosphere.
Some of the blame is on Petersen's offense. They need to start fast and put their cleats on the other teams balls and stomp them into the ground. Do what works until the other team stops it. Getting inopportune three-and-outs will frustrate the fans and they'll tune out. Keep them engaged.
At this point, it seems like we can only get it up any more for Oregon, top 10 Stanford and the Kewg.
This comment got me thinking...while all of the things mentioned up thread did greater harm to the program and the GameDay experience, who we? are playing has a big impact.
I’m not just talking about the recent cupcake parade that (with a few notable exceptions) is our out of conference schedule these past several years, but I’m also talking about our conference. Not only has the quality of the PAC 12 gone down, but the traditional rivalries seem to have lost their edge.
I really wish we played USC every year - and had one more out of conference, home and home with a really big name program. It’s a pipe dream I know, but I think that all the other problems would melt away if we went up against Clemson or Ohio State at Husky Stadium.
Too much cash grab sponsor gimmickry and horrible music- e.g., "Purple Rain"
Even Central has installed lights and is playing at nights now. The excuse: students have a hard time getting going in the mornings. Never mind that for the last 100 years football in college was played to students with hangovers right after noon. Now the only way to see a decent college football game in the afternoon is PLU. (Forget UPS)

Pete's right. Get us back to more daytime starts.
