Not sure. This season will give the answer. I would probably lean towards trade him, but that could also leave the Seahawks years away from being a playoff team again.

They are years away with him so it doesn't really matter
I'm in the minority, but they will get better.

Jake Heaps is available. I hear he will play for cheap. Really give them some salary room to work with.

What’s the last team that traded a franchise qb in his prime?

I mean if you can get three first rounders from a team with a current top five pick sure. Two mid to low first rounders not a chance.

Yeah trade the most decorated qb in your franchise history that has a ring. The OL has been the abomination

QB's that make more money than Tom Brady. Fun fact: no team has every won a Super Bowl when their QB is making more than $20,000,000

    Matt Ryan, $30M
    • Kirk Cousins, $28M
    • Matthew Stafford, $27M
    • Derek Carr, $25M
    • Drew Brees, $25M
    • Andrew Luck, $24.6M
    • Alex Smith, $23.5M
    • Joe Flacco, $22.1M
    • Aaron Rodgers, $22M
    • Russell Wilson, $21.9M
    • Ben Roethlisberger, $21.9M
    • Eli Manning, $21M
    • Philip Rivers, $20.8M
    • Cam Newton, $20.8M
    • Sam Bradford, $20M
    • Ryan Tannehill, $19.3M
    • Case Keenum, $18M
    • Blake Bortles, $18M
    • Andy Dalton, $16M
    • Tyrod Taylor, $15.2M

Jay Cutler is the closest thing I guess?

Denver to Chicago for Traded for 18th overall pick (Robert Ayers), 3rd round pick (Mike Wallace), 2010 1st round pick (#11 Anthony Davis) and Kyle Orton.

Wilson is obviously better but Denver got 2 first rounders, 3rd rounder and a lower tier starting QB, for Jay "the smoker" Cutler.

Some other teams have traded up and spent a ton of picks to get Goff or RG3 in the past. But russel is 29 and not on a rookie contract

This is something I've said for a while. You have to go back to 2011 with Brady before his hometown discount and Brees met in the SB to find a team make the super bowl with a top 10 contact. Even Peyton with Denver was a cheap contract relative to the QBs at the time.

Extend Wilson and sell him on super bowl with additional endorsement money from his concussion proof water is better than making top flight QB money.

I don't have time to check. But I'm pretty sure this was not a top 5 contact the 2 super bowl years. I could possibly be wrong the year they played the Seahawks.
