But anyway, didn't the 84 team's offense kick ass, go 11-1, and win an Orange bowl over Oklahoma? What changed from 84 to 85? We lose an awesome running back? -
I don't think the 84 offense was great, it was the defense that carried that team.Baphomet said:

They beat Oregon while managing one first down
Millen got benched before the only loss and came in to lead the win over Oklahoma so he wasn't horrible, he was just bad.
But the defense saved the day -
