its been said a hundred times, but it's accurate so let's make it 101

At Washington he is coaching not to lose.

Would you say he isnt playing to win the game?
Just playing to play it? -
I know you're channeling Firm Edwards, but to answer your question, Pete is coaching scared and seems traumatized before, during, and after big games.Pitchfork51 said:Would you say he isnt playing to win the game?

He might need a few shots of Patron and a bit of a rip it attitude, ironically -

Super angry veins bursting football coaches are just so dumb in 2018.

I fuckin love it when a coach loses it. Butch Jones has a few where he looks heartattack ripe.Pitchfork51 said:Super angry veins bursting football coaches are just so dumb in 2018.

Meh. Saban is just angry. Those guys are flipping out because they have no control over their team and no respect from them.

The offense has been talked about but the defense having the 2 future NFL corners in soft coverage, playing Jojo Mcintosh and Rapp 25 yards off the LOS was almost as stupid as calling a speed option for browning.PostGameOrangeSlices said:Petersen coached to win at Boise.

playing scared, especially at the start of big games... -
Dumb thread to begin with, murdered by cliches.

The only worse thing than Browning is you mopey ass pussies.
You still have a good team quit bitching. Have you seen SC and the rest of the pac? -

The speed option at the goal line might be the worst play call I've ever seen.
Hamadan. Hot seat. Now.
Also, further proof it's Pete's offense. -
This is a bad thread. If Pete were playing not to lose we? don't run the speed option nor the QB draw crap. Not to lose means you call the obvious and don't take chances. He isn't playing not to lose. He is taking chances, just the wrong ones.

Our corners were 10 yards off the LOS and our AA safety was 20.
Our down the field passing attack was unstoppable, but we can't quit the dink and dunk.
Those designed QB runs arent out of the ordinary. Browning looks like Vince Young against Oregon. Any kind of trick play was nowhere to be seen. -

You want to argue the defense played not to lose I'll listen. The offense did not play not to lose. Nobody walks away from playing not to lose and says "we got too cute". We ran a jet sweep, QB draw with a kid who can't run fluidly enough to pass a DUI test and speed option with the same drunken QB. All inside the ten yard line. That is nothing like playing not to lose.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

Playing not to lose would have punted that last offensive drive too.
We may have done better had the offense played not to lose. -
And yet the dink and dunk is what several poasters thought UW needed more of.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

Proof this thread had AIDS before I shat upon it. -
Muschamp might be a lunatic, but he is also a guy who thrives on the underdog attitude, just like Petersen.NEPTUNE said: -
Nah, where Peterman is going with UW takes more tim.
Getting his recruiting chops down with higher end croots, competing against bigger and deeper coffee cups, dealing with immigration-savvy recruiters and learning to give reacharounds with the likes of FSP and Heir.
Easier at Boise. Harder at the power 5 level. -
OR, he might just be a fucking lunatic...NorwegianHusky said:

Might as well not even play the games

I try to keep my rational thoughts to myself around HH. But once in awhile i lose control and post rational shit on the boreds ... usually its a waste of tim.TurdBuffer said:

1. Didn't know Petersen was the play caller. Oh that's right he's not.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

2. Our secondary is about not giving up touch downs. We'll give you the short shit and field goals but they are not going to let you beat them deep. I too would like to see more press man coverage and force more three and outs like Bama does but it's hard to argue with UW's defensive success.
3. Any play call that involves Browning trying to do anything remotely athletic is fucking stupid. No argument here. But what does that have to do with Petersen "playing not to lose".
4. How many deep balls did UW throw against Auburn? Probably more than they did in any game all last season. Doesn't sound like "playing not to lose" to me.
