It's pretty fucking simple. OKG's are guys who don't have tattoos and dreds in high school and then get tattoos and dreds while at UW.

They like the fuck out of this IG poast

I loved the pod because it broke the space time continuum

Don't know if this was mentioned anywhere but when doing the racial breakdown of recruits it was not mintioned that we are 3/3 on Asian American offers / commitments. People forget that.

It really has changed over the years. You can look it up. Hispanics were such a small population that they were white since they weren't black. I've come to realize that even in little old white Olympia we had a lot of Mexicans. Like my high school girl. But she was white. Her dad was full blood and her mom was a blonde (IKW). No one gave a shit. We had 1800 kids before the high school split and one black family. Lot of white trash though so we had that going for us which was nice.
-
Because blackness is so strong it looks like we take over everyone, so I get why people want to call people with any blackness “black”.
But just one drop of white blood makes the resultant child more likely to be an accountant who eats mayonnaise.
I prefer purity. Once you have non-black people genes, what’s the point of caring about whatever kind of freaky shit results?
Have you seen some of these white people with translucent skin and orange hair? JFC. -

Hyperbolic DDY aside, you know there are actually no black people in the US w/o some white blood right? Jus' checking...Dennis_DeYoung said:Because blackness is so strong it looks like we take over everyone, so I get why people want to call people with any blackness “black”.

I just got around to listening to the pod, and I really enjoyed it.
About the OKG thing. I suspect that Coach Petersen's early experiences at the UW with Naijiel Hale, Darren Gardenhire, Marcus Peters, Lavon Washington, and Drew Lewis, and even Kentrell Love (whose Twitter currently says, "I need $") have made him even less likely to take risks on guys who don't fit his OKG profile.
It's a risk-management thing. For every JoJo Mathis, there was a Lavon Washington. While his program could change the lives of a lot of guys, he still wouldn't be able to reach many kids too. The risk-reward calculus just isn't there, in his mind.
If that's his thinking, I agree with it.
I'm not saying that the UW should focus recruiting resources on three- and two-star guys who work hard and want to be developed. I'm not saying the UW can win a championship with Boise State rosters. I am saying, however, that the UW should continue to screen out guys who don't take coaching and don't handle adversity well.
Jimmy Lake's recent interview boiled down his recruiting criteria into three points:
- Toughness and physicality
- Takes coaching
- Handles adversity
That's it. Nothing about academics. Nothing about a preference for dudes who are into deferred gratification. I'm fine with that.
It's not a perfect process. No process is. But it fits Coach Petersen, allowing him to be authentic with recruits and their parents.
Rather than take greater risks that could endanger the culture and result in more attrition, I'd prefer to let his recruiting strategy play out with the caliber of recruits who are now committing. LIPO. -

Good points, 'lil piss, BUT I'd hate to see Pete get too conservative. We'll still going to have to take risks on some kids who are rare humans if we want to win an NT.Squirt said:I just got around to listening to the pod, and I really enjoyed it.

If you think the coaches know what an OKG is you're a fucking sheep. They have no idea.
Also, all those guys - fuck that. Risk management? What the fuck is this?
How could you listen to the pod and conclude that the coaches know what an OKG is if they thought fucking Brandon Kaho was.
GTFO -
Have we gotten an explanation for why Chest is no longer persona non grata? Because that guy is a fucking idiot

One of the best segments of the pod was calling out the coaching staff on OKG hypocrisy.Dennis_DeYoung said:
