Exactly, the Seahawks obviously have changed the way they run the punt team. For those of us in here old to remember Don James' teams, at least one win a year could have been credited to Special Teams' play. We lose one or two games a year now because of shitty Special Teams, and nobody seems to care. With average Special Teams, we beat Stanford this year. Beat Stanford, and everything might have been different. -

Having gunners like Maxwell and Lane, combined with down-under kicking style is the main reason. That, and Ryan doesn't try to bomb his kicks anymore, are the main reasons for the high fair-catch percentage and low return yardage.
