That cat is painting the corners though. If you try to pull it, you’re hitting it foul. You take his outside pitch the other way and chances are ya hit a gap.BearsWiin said:

Which facts in the study do you disagree with?oregonblitzkrieg said:How stupid do you think your audience is here?

This is all invalid imo. It's an investigation where the investigators are investigating themselves. No conflict of interest there...allpurpleallgold said:

If the article is taken seriously,
How many incidents go unreported out of fear of retribution? How many students don't speak up and air their views on campuses out of fear of social castigation in a climate where only one point of view is tolerated? They see people every day losing their careers, getting silenced on social media platforms, etc. for having the 'wrong point of view,' the wrong point of view being anything that isn't accepted leftist dogma & thought.
It's questionable whether the study was conducted by impartial interests. It was conducted by a group at Georgetown University, a university that's so far left that students are demanding the university change its hiring practices
The lack of conservative professors at Georgetown is leaving students unprepared for the genuine diversity – that is, the diversity of thought – that is part of the real world. Georgetown’s homogeneity, they argue, is leading to an atrophying of their skills for debate and reasoned argument. In other words, without conservatives, they have no one to test their ideas against.
“One of the hallmarks of higher education is the opportunity to understand and grapple with a wide range of ideas,” the editorial notes. It goes on:
Yet, Georgetown falls short on its commitment to this ideological diversity in the makeup of its instructional corps. The university must work to remedy its lack of politically conservative professors by considering a diversity of viewpoints when hiring instructors, from assistant professors to those with tenure, and by ensuring that no bias exists against conservative educators in the hiring process.

So, none of the facts.
-
Umm, the facts are being called into question because of the source: a left wing biased university. Need an independent study by an investigative unit not affiliated with any university, or even better, not from the educational sector at all, composed of people from diverse backgrounds across the political spectrum.allpurpleallgold said:So, none of the facts.

It’s amazing how much scrutiny you’re willing to apply to things when they don’t agree with your preconceived notions.
-
I don't doubt there are instances of leftist speech being infringed on at universities, but most universities being left leaning to far left wing, the bulk of the infringements are directed at people who have viewpoints that fall outside the accepted dogma of the left. To claim that it's mostly left wing viewpoints that are being silenced is beyond the pale. It's a narrative that just doesn't fit the evidence. You don't see leftist speakers being shouted down, banned from speaking or facing blackshirtallpurpleallgold said:It’s amazing how much scrutiny you’re willing to apply to things when they don’t agree with your preconceived notions.
antifascist rioters trying to shut them down. That's all left wing shit. Seems to me it's exactly the kind of shit they claim to be against. -
Christ. The idea that the left recieves the majority of censorship on college campuses is absolutely absurd. This thread belongs on a flat earth society board. -
The report offers good evidence. Yours is anecdotal.oregonblitzkrieg said:

“Fascist rioters”. Someone was murdered at the Charlottesville white supremacy rally. You don’t give a fuck. You literally only want to hear what you agree with and you dismiss anything else. -
The antifa blackshirts are similar to Hitler's brownshirts, a bunch of dumb ignorant thugs who go around bashing and trying to silence anyone who doesn't agree with their shitty point of view. There is no comparable organized white supremacist movement going around trying to shut everyone up. If there were, I would oppose it. What's happening on the far left resembles the far right fascism they claim to be fighting against. They've created a false narrative of white supremacy and use it to justify their movement.allpurpleallgold said:

First the left was a bunch of soy boy cucks and now they’re terrorist thugs. From one bullshit point to the next without a second thought. The Stu Gotz is strong in you.

APAG going HondoFS in this thread...
-
That’s like saying more white people get arrested than black people. That is factually true if you look at raw data. That’s different than looking at the percentage of whites vs the percentage of blacks. I’d like to know what percentage of liberal speech gets negatively impacted vs conservative speech? I bet you the percentages would flip the other way.
It’s easy to make data go in your favor. -
Nega, please. Sample size of 90. 4500 schools.
How many of those 90 incidents were lefties employed by private schools with religious beliefs?
Vs. how many of those 90 incidents were at state schools?

I expect more from APAG. Quite sad how far he’s fallen. This is Hondo/Sledog garbage.

What.... Presenting facts and making conservatives squirm cause it's against their preconceived notions?HoustonHusky said:APAG going HondoFS in this thread...

Honestly, I prefer Honda to most you.

Let's assume each of those 4500 schools has 100 professors/instructors employed or 450,000 people. Some may have more than 100, some may have less.2001400ex said:

90/450,000 = 0.02%
Anybody drawing definitive conclusions on a 0.02% incident rate is beyond FS. It is statistically irrelevant.
-
Facts are scant in that video. One chart, a couple numbers, and then a lot of chestbeating about dunking on Alex Jones. Please to be linking the actual study.allpurpleallgold said:

That was one of the points he made. The conservative media makes it out like conservative voices are squashed all the time at universities. Which isn't true.PurpleThrobber said:

That's why anyone remotely considered conservative can't speak at most campuses.

I said most. Both members of Hardcore Huskies most adorable couple are ahead of Honda.Swaye said:
