The inevitability of the victim Olympics is that there will always be someone who is a bigger victim who is entitled to more "equity".Edwin_Bambino said:

I’m not trying to sit here and cry about the plight of white men, we? have it pretty sweet but if I wrote those tweets about any other race and was a public figure I would be fired and feathered and tarred on social media for the rest of my life as a racist. “Counter-Trolling” is not an acceptable excuse in my opinion.

Bitch Cunt got rewarded with a more prestigious position for being a Bitch Cunt. Reinforcing and enabling anti-social Bitch Cunt behavior is never a good thing.GrundleStiltzkin said:

I agree with This, but this will only happen for those that fill the line on the color bar.GrundleStiltzkin said:Thinking about it some more, I'd like to see NYT retain her. Someone needs to draw a line with this twitter-fed hysterics.
"Yes, she has a past of making racial statements. On balance, we value her voice and want her to stay."
I'm glad NYT did what I suggested. One, on principle, it's the right thing to do if she brought something valuable to the table in some area. Stupid or perhaps satirical (I don't fully buy that) tweets from a few years ago shouldn't be an automatic DQ. Two, it's wildly and transparently hypocritical by NYT, and I like that being put on display.
Hopefully that hypocrisy serves to flip da script and allow for more dissenting voices to be heard at the highest levels in a journalism state.
But it won't.
I spent 3 in this rant, so, on balance, I figure I have about 97 more free ones each before anyone can complain about sexist terminology. On balance. -
I love this graphic because it shows how "equity" proponents see everything as a zero sum game, i.e., the only way to help the disadvantaged is to take from the supposed advantaged or privileged in society. That's the mindset. But look closely and ask, "who'd they steal that wheelchair ramp from?" Sure as fuck didn't come from a rebuilt box. And that's the thing. It's all fake.UW_Doog_Bot said:

The tall guy never needed a box and would never be standing on one. The girl could already see over the fence, but had to be made taller than the man, no matter what. And the wheelchair bound kid would have a custom seat at the end of a row, located right near a ADA compliant ramp.
The whole equity game is riddled with lies and misrepresentations just like this bullshit graphic. -
