Imagine that world. Only holes are at WR and TE for the class (and could have used a second RB but whatever) in this scenario I think, and OL and DL recruiting would be so fucking good I'd accept it.

I don't think this is that far from realistic either. The interesting question will be whether Vimahi actually Moreman missions or not. -
Yeah, even if you drop Vimahi and Ika/Wright, that is still a bringing the lumber type close. I think on balance that is nearing "great class" territory. If there is any big surprise added to that list of 5 like a good DB, or flipping Ngata or adding a top end TE or something, this class is firmly in the "great" segment.dnc said:Agreed.

We should be fine at DB, we've still got McDuffie on the bored. If you whiff on him it seems like we should be able to flip Chase from wherever he ends up committing to. And there's still Javin Wright and Pleasant-Johnson out there as well.Swaye said:

USC, UW and Stanford are not the programs we're building this team for. Those teams are regional contenders for the most part, with the exception of USC, who's occasionally great but mostly mediocre. Once Oregon gets rolling again, those teams should largely become an afterthought. To an SEC caliber team lead by a coach from the Saban tree, those are the types of teams you through the motions with and still beat them rather easily (say 34-17?) with ample trash time left at the end of the games to give the backups some playing time. This team is being built to compete with the much skronger southern blue bloods in the SEC/ACC. HTFH.

That's actually not too far-fetched if we are to believe the Twitter tea leaves and the reports from TBSers. At a minimum, it sounds like we currently lead for Heimuli, Buelow, and Tuitele. We did lead for Wright at one point and are probably still high on his board, Bandes' mom wants him here, and Vimahi and Ika seem to like us.
