Central Illustrated -- Conference Update Breaking News

Humboldt State's female president has announced they are dropping football. The cost is a paltry sounding $1 million, but she says they can't afford it. What a load of bullshit. The whole idea of going to a college with no football team is like having sex with your clothes on. Although that is better than nothing.

But anyway the problem is that there would remain only 4 teams in the GNAC -- W Oregon, Simon Fraser, Azusa Pacific, and our* Central. Simon Fraser really has already given up on football as they usually get beaten 75-0 anyway. Azusa Pacific is generally good, W Oregon mediocre. Humboldt is really the best of the group. There are no other D2 conferences around so it brings up the issue of where to play. Central is good enough to play in the Big Sky as it is, but doesn't have the money.

    The PAC needs another team. Central would finish ahead of Cal, OSU, and probably Coug.

    Humboldt State is a Women's Rowing School. Everyone knows this. 2014 DII National Champs.

    They only have a $30 million endowment and would beat the crap out of any of @creepycoug 's favorite DIII row boat powerhouses.
