Dude I like Mele, but I am just more talking about kalepos ability and improvement he has made. If he is healthy, I think Bain will get the first crack at LTDoogCourics said:
Why do you hate Mele?WeakarmCobra said:
Kid really worked on his feet. I could see him potentially play LTNeighbor2972 said:

I was gonna say I could genuinely see him replacing McGary as a true freshman.WeakarmCobra said:

His technique is still awful, but his feet are naturally really quick. He's a guy that's going to need to wait until he's a RS-Soph to be actually good. -
Agreed. Same could have been said for McGary though, and for some reason when I wrote that I was thinking that McGary didn't redshirt. Which he obviously did.Dennis_DeYoung said:

The thing is we need to replace both starting tackles next year, and we haven't seen anything from Roberts or Bain. And I sure as fuck don't want Hilbers to start.
Again, I was thinking of how both Adams and McGary started young. But obviously McGary redshirted first, and Adams wasn't actually raw coming out of high school.
Let's pray some combination of Roberts/Bain/Mele is ready to start next year. Obviously Kalepo won't start game one. Even Adams didn't. I could still see him playing towards the end of the year because we have so few naturally gifted OL. -
I don’t want to ruin Kalepo. You start a kid like that too early and his bad habits get cemented and he starts losing battles and confidence.
Because of shit technique and lack of time to condition, he’ll get injured. So, by the time he’s a junior he’s regressed and hates football.
Jaxson Kirkland is our RT if Burleson, Bain or Hilbers can’t do it. And he will be good. A RS-Soph. Kalepo can take over from him when he’s a RS-Jr. -
Wasn't Jaxson Kirkland that kid who looked like he had a touch of downs when we recruited him?
