He rode a great QB to a Natty after taking over a team that needed an attitude adjustment. Slightly above Gene Chizik, but in the same class.
They were a losing BCS team last year in his 8th year - and every year he’s been there they’ve been in the top 10 in recruiting. They averaged 5th!!!

You can take out Jimbos entire national championship year and his record is 69-23. Let Chizik keep his natty year and he's 38-38. Hell take out every game Jameis ever played and Jimbo is 56-22.
Gene Chizik is one of the worst coaches of all time who happened to get lucky that Tim Tebow was at Florida. His first year after Cam he won 8 games. Two years after Cam he won 3 games.
Jimbo Fisher is a good coach who won a title with a great QB (but let's be real, Jameis was no fucking Cam Newton). His first year after Jameis he won 10 games. His second season after Jameis he won 10 games, including the fucking Orange Bowel.
Jimbo Fisher may not be a great coach but he's a hell of lot closer to Chris Petersen than he is to Gene Fucking Chizik.
