Okay you fuckbags - so here is one for you guys. Today, we offered some Poly kid from fucking ATL who will never come here. Great, huh?
Well, anyway, we haven't offered Dylan Hall yet - a 6-5, 220 BUCK from Antelope Valley (shout out to Tommie Smith and Jeremiah Pharms!) who it takes three plays to see has HUGE TIME potential. I guess we haven't offered because we are waiting on A&M, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC and UCLA to offer like we did with Jeremiah Martin. That's been a great strategy for us.

At least his high school team wears Adidas. Maybe that's our fast-strategy strategy to attract fast strategy dudes?
Also, he looks SUPER raw. But with some quality coaching, could he be molded? You'll down vote me for this, like I do for 99% of Grinolds' posts, but, after just watching his Hudl, Trice looks faster and more athletic to me. He doesn't chuck dudes like this guy but yeah.

Trice is a fucking slug compared to this guy. Trice is bigger, that's true... but this kid has crazy twitch. And Trice IS NOT athletic and this kid is. He's a three play player. All you need is three plays and you know he's special. No one 6-5, 220 moves like that.

Reminds me a lot of Jeremiah Martin, really crazy speed that he doesn’t even know he has. I’d kill to see this guy (or being honest ANY FUCKING KID WITH TALENT) at BUCK for us.

I'm not seeing it. I watched aboout 10 plays of his hudl and he doesn't seem to get off the ball particularly quick and I don't see elite acceleration. Just got back from browsing HH in a parallel universe. Over there, Dennis is going apeshit because we just offered the #70 SDE in the country who has nothing but shit offers. He's going on about how Coach K knows he can't recruit against the big boys so he's lowering the bar to compete against the Beavs and Cougs for 3 star shot buck prospects.

You can’t say “our offer means something, not like all these other teams” when we fucking offer a kid from ATL that will never fucking come here. I’d guess 30 of our offers so far are completely pointless at this point.pat_hm said:

I really like the upside of Hall, I don't care if we offer him now but we should definitely be recruiting him. Do everything you can to get him up for camp this summer and see how he looks. He's very raw still but he has the size, strength, and speed you want. He could easily blow up his Senior year, better to get in on him early just in case.

I'm obviously not going to bet the farm on a kid from Atlanta coming to Washington. That said he is Samoan and made sure to put photos of Kikahi and Vita plus we're playing out opener out there makes me think there was some game plan. Maybe he has some west coast connections? A cousin out here? I dunno. Not many Samoans in the south...The fact is that no one here knows anything and it's all mostly conjecture. The BUCK recruiting has been incredibly frustrating...I do believe Petersen understands the value of pass rushers in our scheme and has a plan to address it. -

I sympathize with the coaches trying to recruit across the country while also trying to make a UW offer 'mean something'. You aren't going to get the attention of a kid from Texas if you don't offer him, so you kind of have to just to gauge their interest and try and get them to visit. Waiting so long to offer the obvious instate guys is still annoying though.
