Is Gonzaga the best program on the West Coast?

Why are we giving Few credit for staying at a mid-major instead of proving it in a power conference? At least Bennett had the balls to ditch the Pac/Wazzu for the ACC.
Few must really love Spocompton. -

2 Elite 8s and a Final 4 in 19 years = Elite coach?FremontTroll said:
Lets revisit this in a few days. Only Florida State stands between the Zags and their third Elite Eight in four years.dnc said:You can't be a top 5 coach if you hardly ever win in March.
Few is Tony Bennett with slightly better recruiting and slightly less embarrassing losses. Very good coach. Probably worthy HOF'er.
Not elite as long as he only has one F4 on his resume.
But yes they're the premier program on the West Coast.

Yes Few was upset three times in the second round as a 1-3 seed (2004, 2005, 2013) but he also reached the Sweet 16s three times as a 10 or worse seed (2000, 2001, 2016.)
Sorry man, can't get behind that. If he wins a title this year we can revisit this conversation. Otherwise his results in March have been too mediocre for one more E8 run to overcome.
Few should be Sainted for making one E-8 let alone 2 and a Finals appearance. -
You mean like Chris Petermen?ThomasFremont said:Why are we giving Few credit for staying at a mid-major instead of proving it in a power conference? At least Bennett had the balls to ditch the Pac/Wazzu for the ACC.

Nobody wants that hung on them. Except Few apparently
Had Petermen stayed at Boise the same criticism would apply -
The NCAA should ban the Pacific and Mountain time zone teams from the next 5 tournaments.
