Michael Neal IS here to play school

But I think he ought to move the difficult setting up to at least Varsity.

Anthro and Comm?
Should be useful in 4 years -
Shouldn't it be #Blackcellence?

Good news is, he's not taking classes that require any real work. Tutors can handle the homework.

3.0 in Microecon?

Grasping entitlement programs in poor third world countries is vexing, indeed.Neighbor2972 said:3.0 in Microecon?

Jeez take it easy on the guy. For those who took Econ 200, you might remember it's not THAT easy. And it's graded on a curve IIRC so if you fuck up a few times you're screwed.

Are 200 level classes curved?Miley_Cyrus said:Jeez take it easy on the guy. For those who took Econ 200, you might remember it's not THAT easy. And it's graded on a curve IIRC so if you fuck up a few times you're screwed.

Not to mention that it is a class of 500 people with the professor usually being a guy that wrote the textbook answering every question as read the textbook. For the average student, a good prof and TA goes a long way in that class as the concepts make a ton of sense as you get deeper into Econ but make a little less sense up front because nobody in their right mind talks about utility, etcMiley_Cyrus said:Jeez take it easy on the guy. I remember intermediate macro econ being really hard. Well that and I only went to class twice.
Fortunrately it was curved so I got a B anyway -

Little secret for you guys taking Econ... not sure if he is still around, but sign up for Professor Rao's courses.
[edit]
Nevermind, looks like he isn't in the faculty anymore. -
I always found macro to make more intuitive sense to how the world really operates compared to micro ... micro always just seemed like common sense and blew my mind that people actually spent a lot of time talking and proving that things like rent controls are value destroyersPitchfork51 said:I remember intermediate macro econ being really hard. I just remember it was boring and I had homework so I switched to finance.

Sounds like the Navy
One of my first jobs I had a supervisor who was an old Navy guy and he always wanted a 4-0 job.
Thanks -
It makes it damn near impossible to have a 4.0 at the UW.RaceBannon said:Sounds like the Navy

3 = B
4 = A
2 = C
1 = D
0= HondoFS -
Good post but the difference is an A could be an A minus and this allows say a 3.8 to reflect that. A B plus could be 3.4Pitchfork51 said:

4.0’s are rare at UW even for classes
It’s well known in academia that a 3.0 at UW is way different than a 3.0 elsewhere -

Pretty sure A- is 3.7 or whatever and B+ is 3.3RaceBannon said:

Problem is how the fuck does the kid have a 3.8 in one and a 3.7 in the other?
Is one more minusy and one less minusy?
Grades are stupid.
And if you can have an A- you should have an A+ too thats a 4.3
Pretty sure I had like a 4.1 for a couple years.
Once it was physically impossible for me to lose my scholarship the real fun began. -
Why not both?Pitchfork51 said:
