Where’s BtP when you need him
-
Yes. We got 2 Crystal Balls for him yesterday, I don't know what other schools are even going after him.
Seems like we're either getting Brooks or BPJ, I don't see how we take both. -
Would rather have Brooks if Roberts is a true 6'11"/7'Neighbor2972 said:Yes. We got 2 Crystal Balls for him yesterday, I don't know what other schools are even going after him.

Pass on BPJ from what I’ve heard about him recently
-
Can he score on Oregon State and Utah down the stretch?
-
Last i heard, he is playing less than 10 minutes a game for his high school team and getting like 2 points a gameBallzDeep said:

I would be happy with either. BPJ's potential seems to be more at the defensive end with his crazy length. Given how UW has struggled against 7' fundamentally sound white centers, he could be a great help. They do have Nate Roberts with similar length already signed.
To me, Brooks looks like another Noah Dickerson. Tough in the low post, much better on offense than BPJ. Getting top Seattle guys to stay home is always a plus as well. -
Nic Lynch just carried Prep to wins over Garfield AND Beach. 6' 10" 265. Might be too slow though.

Looks a bit lumbering, but then again so is Timmins. I'd take him if there was room.ThomasFremont said:Nic Lynch just carried Prep to wins over Garfield AND Beach. 6' 10" 265. Might be too slow though.

He’s committed to Lehigh, if that’s his best offer right now we don’t want him.
-
For the most part, that is what got romar in trouble. It wasn't his top tier 1-2 players, it was the other 3 in the class that weren't pac12 players.Edwin_Bambino said:He’s committed to Lehigh, if that’s his best offer right now we don’t want him.
Until hop proves he's peterson and can mold lesser players to be very good i'd trust who's recruiting you as a barometer on future success. -
All I know is this team has jack shit for a front court. J'Raan Brooks isn't gonna be a post presence in the Pac-12. HTHEdwin_Bambino said:He’s committed to Lehigh, if that’s his best offer right now we don’t want him.

Since it looks like we're getting him, here's some highlights. As far as AAU videos go, this one's pretty good.

Honestly not a fan. I've been wrong before. I'll point out that not all players are going to contribute on a 13 man roster soooo, why not? Anyone know if Ed Chang is going to be eligible?

Ed chang is likely reclassifying to 2019huskyhooligan said:Honestly not a fan. I've been wrong before. I'll point out that not all players are going to contribute on a 13 man roster soooo, why not? Anyone know if Ed Chang is going to be eligible?

You guys are dumb he's a stretch 4 that can play down low and defend about as well as Dickerson. He's around Dickerson's size and is a lot more fluid athletically coming out. Not nearly as strong. He's footwork is decent down low. I see him more in the Bennie Boatwright mold a more perimeter oriented player and that plays to the new freedom of movement rules. He's good and will be good in college.
-
He's a player you can win a national championship with if you properly develop him over 4 years. He'll contribute more than Hameir Wright contributed this year. I think Ham's ceiling is a lot higher in the zone though.
-
I'm not saying don't take him, he's a good player. But stretch 4/SF/non PGs are a dime a dozen. We need a real PG and some post presence. Brooks is Darnell Gant all over again. I don't mean that as an insult. I liked Gant. He knew his role and he played it well. He's not a can't miss prospect though.

I'm hearing that if his grandma visits, it's a guarantee that he'll be goodbackthepack said:You guys are dumb he's a stretch 4 that can play down low and defend about as well as Dickerson. He's a black Hans Gasser. I want my physically imposing can't miss prospects dominating in the post, not floating to the exterior, in High School. Darnell Gant was a better athlete.
Whats the deal with Ed Chang? He'll be like a 20 year old senior if he reclassifies. -
This team is in desparate need front court depth, any addition of a competant player will be huge.
-
Do we have to pay him?
-
Basnight posted some shit from a source about him being interested in UW if they're interested in him.
-
Is it sad at all to say i miss the days of MBA and Gant?ThomasFremont said:I'm not saying don't take him, he's a good player. But stretch 4/SF/non PGs are a dime a dozen. Im in favor of anyone that can knock down a shot.

Sounds reputable.Rapeculturedawg said:Basnight posted some shit from a source about him being interested in UW if they're interested in him.

Recommitted to USC, looks like we're getting BPJ. I like the idea of an athletic shot blocker in the middle of the zone.
-
Or we just don't have a scholarship

With the current returning players and the signed commits, they are at the limit. So to take another, someone on the team needs to go. Carlos Johnson seems like the most likely for a couch sale.
