a day in the life of herm
so, if i read that article right, which i think i did, he got up at 4am, the time he allocated to 'football practice/recruiting/etc' was:
8-10 AM staff and recruiting meetings
Noon-12:30 - 30 minutes of recruiting
thats it, get up at 4am and only spend two hours and thirty minutes focused football, the rest of the day was interviews, 'planning time,' meet & greets.
devils gonna be just fine, just fine. -

I just want you all to understand...NEPTUNE said:Hermy coaching ASU has the potential to be the most interesting aspect of the 2018 PAC season. The post game interviews, how he'll relate to today's teenagers, and just his overall cluelessnes. I got hi hopes.

Same with the "81 squad had the Cougs not got them early and beat them. They were the best team in the Conference by years end despite USC.DerekJohnson said:
their '82 team might have won it all if it weren't for the Dawgs winning 17-13 down thereRaceBannon said:When ASU joined the Pac in 1978 it looked like a real contender was joining up. And for a while they lived up to it. The location, the weather, the stadium at the time were all big league. Kush built a better WAC program than the bottom half of the Pac 8.
It just has never really seemed to take off. 86 and 96 are their two titles. -
I'm old enough to remember listening to that one on the radio. It was also a night game, so I complained about the starting time.DerekJohnson said:

this party dont stop, from a recent q&a, which he seemingly does every fucking day
How much will you lean on your assistants?
We got two coaches on offense (line coach Dave Christensen and receivers coach Charlie Fisher) that have been head coaches in college football. Does that help me? It sure does. In college the game is played a little different. In our staff meetings those are the questions I might ask. 'What about this? In pro football we did this.' 'Well coach, think about it this way now.'
How does your pro experience play into this?
Sunday we came in here as a staff and we put the calendar together for six months. Starting this month all the way to the first game. Not only did we put the calendar together, we put the practice schedules together. When we’re practicing. How we’re practicing. The times we’re practicing. The whole deal. We sat in there for five hours. We went day to day, month to month. I said, ‘Here’s my pro schedule, OTAs. That to me is your spring-ball schedule, correct? Now this is how we did it, how do you guys do it?' That’s the conversation. Everyone had input.
id copy and paste 4 or 5 more things, just go read the article, its incredible.
in closing though I listen to my eyes. You gain knowledge when you listen to your eyes.
edit: sorry, actually not sorry, here's one more:
Have you had a chance to look at your roster?
I’ve watched a few (of last year’s) games.
he's been on the job almost 2 months and has only watched 'a few' of last years games. good lord. -

The "best" game of the year we scored 13 points.
