I know you're being sarcastic, but this a big problem for college football. It delegitimizes the championship when you know teams in half the conferences have no chance for a National Title even with a 12-0 record. Either move the lower conferences into their own subdivison or create a system that let's some of these 11-1 or 12-0 lower level conference champions in.
You shouldn't be considered an FBS school if your school has no chance of a title going undefeated. Cut the fat and make the FBS 60-65 with five conferences, or have the playoffs system be able to include one the 12-0 lower conference teams. Is it too hard to make it 8 teams with at least one mid major? -
And in this case they beat the team that beat THE team.greenblood said:I know you're being sarcastic, but this a big problem for college football. I usually hate that comparison, but I'll give you one more. Central Florida had the same number of top 25 wins at Notre Dame had, and if Notre Dame hadn't lost to Stanford, they might have gotten in.Southerndawg said:

I was being sarcastic, but I actually agree with what you're getting at. UCF is no joke, in a fair world, there'd be a tournament with at least 8 teams in it, including them.greenblood said:
