Nobody with a brain has ever said otherwise. Everyone knows the media has historically had a left-leaning bent. But it's not kept, say, the NYT or WP from busting out a story that buries a liberal hero. So it's not like we can say it hasn't worked. We have had movies about assassinating sitting presidents, entire TV shows dedicated to slurring one side and supporting the other etc. This was not the norm.
