Ross’s development as a route runner under Bush was uncanny. He went from a guy who could run a fly route and bubble screen to a guy who mastered the whole route tree. Yes Ross was crazy talented but his skills took a significant leap under Bush.BallzDeep said:

Helfrich is a comfort hire for a couple of high fiving white guys. That's not what the staff needs. At all

Bush would be a risk. He is a super young, fast rising coach though he has a shitload of energy and desire to climb to the top. You already know he brings in a terrific recruiting pedigree. Our receivers production exponentially went up while he was here as well.
Might he stumble a bit as a first time OC? Sure. He is the kind of guy who will stay up until 4 AM crushing caffeine though to figure out why something is not working because of how badly he wants to get to the top. He already has a great relationship with Pete too, saves Pete the stress in figuring this shit out so he can delegate his time elsewhere.
