Stupid early guess at the CFP teams and who else fills the NY6 bowels

If Georgia gets blown the fuck out by Auburn again, there’s a slim chance they fall out of the NY6. A lifeless team like that would give pause to any bowl executives.

Because it would have been ComitteeFS to have Penn State in the playoffs with 2 losses and a second Big 10 team. Lots of ESPN people talked Washington up last year. This year they were "done with Washington" after the ASU lossdnc said:

The selection committee is bought and paid for
The pundits are conceding the ACC champs – Miami or Clemson and the SEC champions Georgia or Auburn into the CFP. Now it gets interesting as ESPN really wished OSU beats Wiscy so OSU can get in. The winner of the Oklahomo TCU game will only get in if it is Oklahomo – not a two loss TCU – that will open it up for shitty SOS Bama to get in.
I really think Clemson/Miami winner, Georgia if they win the SEC, Wisconsin if they win the B1014, and Okie if they win the B1210.
SEC opens it up for everyone if Auburn wins because of 2 losses. Same with TCU and OSU but now include SC if they beat Stanford. Very confusing but take a look at ND – loss to UGA and Stanford but blows out SC who beat the Tree. Alabama only beat LSU, Miss St ranked but gets credit for FSU
The Dawgs suck because of SOS but Wisconsin and Bama gain for the same SOS. Go figure. Until there are 4 conferences with 2 8 team divisions and only those champions play for the trophy we will always have to have a selection committee and ESPN influencing the fucking thing,
If ESPN had shit to do with it Penn State would have gotten in last year.
Stop being a paranoid doog.
That said, according to those on the committee, Penn State still almost made it in. -
Agreed, I think they are also at risk for dropping out if they get hammered. Their best win is over ND? Miss St would have to stay in the rankings for them to have 2 top 25 wins.GreenRiverGatorz said:If Georgia gets blown the fuck out by Auburn again, there’s a slim chance they fall out of the NY6. We* should get a theoretical bump with the game against a GOOD Cuog team (in the committee's mind) while other teams will probably be hurt a touch in their computer rankings because they beat Maryland (PSU), Baylor (TCU), GaTech (Georgia), and Rutgers (Mich State). -
holy fuck, sven fucking with the hypotheticals now

One of them has to lose. And if it’s TCU that’s 3 losses. We’d have a chance to pass them in that case. They just played Baylor so their SOS compared to last week will take a hit.
That’s the group and it’s pretty much set, and it’s totally a Stanford OR USC situation. The final bid is Oklahoma AND TCU if TCU wins. If TCU loses it opens up the possibility of them falling out. Same with tOSU if they lose badly.
Hopefully Fresno makes it to the top 25 and Cuog stays there. If that happened we’d actually compare favorably to Penn State whose best win is Northwestern.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/bowl-projections-alabama-not-out-of-the-college-football-playoff-picture-just-yet/Notre Dame's loss to Stanford has dropped the Irish out of the New Year's Six bowl projections in favor of TCU, which will be coming off a projected loss to Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game. That's a close call.
He projected tOSU to lose too but stay in the NY6, so that's 10-3 TCU and 10-3 tOSU getting bids over 10-2 UW.
I may be dooging but sure feels like we'd be just as worthy. Will have to see how close the committee puts us to TCU on Tuesday.

"The fourth and final spot of the Playoff should have been between the Buckeyes and the Nittany Lions. CFP selection committee chairman Kirby Hocutt said those two teams were compared to one another — and the committee was "incredibly impressed” by Penn State "
Meaning they weren't taking two teams from the Big 10. -

If we are ranked ahead of ND and MSU on Tuesday, we will jump TCU if they lose, but the committee might still choose TCU because the bowl is in Texas.
