Mike Leach on Playoffs

“It’s such a brilliant approach, that’s why everybody does it that way. I mean, really, nobody does it that way. I mean, if we’re so smart, wouldn’t all the other sports say, ‘You know what? Let’s have a committee. You know, ’cause why not? We’re America and we love committees. Let’s get us a committee. Well, who should be on the committee? Well, I don’t know. This guy’s a good guy. Let’s have him on the committee.’”
“Look, there are people on the committee that don’t have the remotest association with football, nor do they know anything about football other than being a fan (he didn’t mention former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, by name anyway).
“But you know what, let’s have them on a committee. Why not? It would be fun. We’d go to a resort. We could talk, we could hang out at dinner. And then we’ll decide which four teams could go. ‘Cause you know why? We don’t need to solve this on the field. ‘Cause we’re the ones that know.
“If we’re going to do it that way, we should just ask the committee at the beginning of the season to go ahead and vote on it then. Why even have the games? To me, that’s not a playoff. There’s nothing playoff about it. How can you call it a playoff when there are four teams, and conference champions don’t even necessarily make the playoffs....

It should be the power 5 winners and 3 at larges.
-
Mike leach is a dumb bitch who thinks he knows about pirates because he read like 3 books. Fuck him, fuck Wazzu, let’s fucking roll.

“...why even play the games?...”

That makes the five conf championships another layer bringing 13 teams into contention -
There should be no playoff at all.
-
It's funny because the playoff would have to expand to 24 teams for WSU to make it.

5 power five, each with a “first round” bye, 1-4 get second round home game
6 at large made up of highest ranked and any undefeated teams, 6-8 get home game, rank > undefeated in atlarge so shit undefeated teams like UCF will still receive worse seeds
No games against div 2 team (or whatever they call it now)
Must play 9 conference opponents
Must play Atleast one non conference power 5 team
Power 5 must have conference championship game to determine winner
8 team round is at 1-4 Home fields
4 team round is at regional west/east neutral stadium (cowboys, orange, rose...)
Championship in Vegas -
loooseres don’t getta make the rules.

It's bad that I've seen enough Mike Leach videos that I was even using his infliction in speech while I was reading it.
-
I mean sure, there’s nothing “playoff” about it, and there never has been. Using the BCS to determine which two teams should play for the title was even shittier. Having sportswriters pick the national champion after the fact was even shittier than that. Of course eight is better, and we’ll eventually get there. Leach’s rant is no more insightful than the stuff us dipshits with a keyboard spew out on a daily basis.
-
The shit you spew didn’t go viral with a million views and get replayed on every sports tv and radio broadcast in the country

Its why everyone, but a few buttfuckers here, love Leach. He's so fucking good for college football, and why cfb is so special. That would be a huge fine in the NFL, and whyh nobody watches the nfl anymore

Look at % increase-decrease in viewership...check back with pup. Its not just BLM protests of anthem either. The nfl game is painful to watch. The endzone celebrations are fucking LAME. So stupidly rehersed and fake. Too little too late NFL, faggy endzone celebrations wont save your game.
80% of your teabaggies watch the nfl, and its sad. Its why you have no life. Cool kids like pup are outdoors on Sunday. Then nosedeep in a set of chick cheeks the rest of the day after a cool crisp day in the mountains running the vizsla's, ...my dawgs hate tyhe nfl too -
Ahhhhhh, after the cold crisp snow-capped mountain peak air i enhaled this morning I thought i was refreshed and fully satisfied...but after Pump just endulged in some nice warm colon air from a nice set of twin skin peaks i think i can finally say ole pup can rest easy for the apple cup:))))

To be fair, if you have the sports package on cable, there are at least 20 games on, and that's not counting the online games or whatever the cord cutter Millennial types do with their pirate streams. The NFL usually has three on, then one at night. Way less competition.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

If Auburn can hold on and Wisconsin beats Ohio State then you wheels will really start to turn for a 8 man playoff.
