RIP Malcolm Young

He was the heartbeat and foundation of AC/DC and his rhythm guitar powered the band. Listening to him and Angus play together was an experience you had to hear to believe.
RIP Malcolm - I'm starting an AC/DC marathon on about 10 minutes to pay tribute. Chances are, I'll just play it all through the game tonight and spare myself listening to faggot announcers.

That's actually a good plan

There is nothing in this world quite as satisfying as going to an AC/DC concert in Dallas, with a bag of weed in your pocket, and a hot blonde with you, and they open with Thunderstruck.
RIP. -
I will be playing some AC DC riffs poorly on my axe tonight.

I saw them in the Tacoma Dome in 2001. I'm not a huge mega fan, but that show was really good.

Saw them twice. I think it was impossible for them to put on a bad show.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:I saw them in the Tacoma Dome in 2001. I'm not a huge mega fan, but that show was really good.

AC/DC died with Bon Scott
-
While I am partial to the pre-Brian Johnson version, that was about as good a replacement version as any band I know of.BearsWiin said:AC/DC died with Bon Scott
They produced some good shit after Scott, but a lot of the really, really good shit was from the early days. Touch too much and Live Wire are my personal favorites. COD on For those about to rock is up there. -
Soul stripper
-
Whole Lotta Rosie is my all time favorite, but damn Angus' solos on Ride On are fucking phenomenal
-
Soul Stripper is one of Bon's best. It is a masterful song, with great work by every member of the band.RaceBannon said:Soul stripper
I'm seriously partial to the Bon Scott albums vs. the Brian Johnson albums, but Brian did a pretty respectable job of filling shoes that couldn't be filled. Back In Black, For Those About To Rock, Flick of the Switch - and their more recent albums - range from awesome to really good, so Brian Johnson isn't chopped liver, he just isn't Bon Scott. Nobody else would have measured up, either, so hats off the Brian for keeping the band going after Bon's death.
Will someone tell Damone that only a complete cockgobbling faggot would wtf a post on a thread about Malcolm Young? What a fucking bleeding gash he is these days.

I know why you like them so much. They look like short little hobbits, like you.
-
Any one of them would knock the fuck straight out of you. Maybe even Malcolm.oregonblitzkrieg said:I know why you like them so much. They look like short little hobbits, like you.
I'd knock you down and then go up inside you to teach you a lesson.
So fuck off you little cunt and stop fagging out my thread. -
Thread was started by a fag so it's not like it can get much gayer.dflea said:

You probably liked 5150 and OU812. Van Heflin died with Diamond Dave's solo career.creepycoug said:

AC/DC died when Bon Scott inhaled his dinner puke. Johnson is a screecher who couldn't carry Scott's drunken pissed-in jock. -
Highway to Hell was their best album. Back in Black would have been if Bon hadn't died. Best song though might be Its a Long Way To The Top. The fucking bag pipe riff is unstoppable and makes we want to fuck shit up.
-
I also think Highway to Hell is the best album front to back. There isn't a song on it that doesn't kick ass. Go ahead and look for one that doesn't. It isn't there.
Best song? Can't do that. -
That shit's just mean, man.BearsWiin said:

Long Way to the Top
The Jack
TNT
She's Got Balls
Live Wire
Tough call between that and Highway to Hell.
I played the shit out of Back In Black though. The opening riff in Hells Bells...man. That's good stuff.

Agree. Every thing after 1984 sucks. The first 6 VH albums, however, are all something special.BearsWiin said:

Van Hagar was the worst. I actually saw them at a free concert in downtown Dallas. Fucking terrible.

You know a concert is fucked when it's free and still gets rated as horrible.Swaye said:Van Hagar was the worst. I actually saw them at a free concert in downtown Dallas. Fucking terrible.

Negative . I was ok with Hagar solo and even then HATED van hagar. Also didn't like van Halan even with Dave once the synthesizer started showing up a lot.BearsWiin said:

Johnson did a much better job filling in and AC/DC was a viable ass kicking band post-Scott. But as I said, like 99% of people out there I prefer Scott ... as I said. I thought Berkeley guys could read good.
