Smith is a liability. He has been one since day 1 here. He cares more about pounding a square peg through a round hole than putting together successful drives.
Ultimately, the buck stops with Petersen. He is the one who needs to pull the trigger. The more he keeps Smith around the more he risks his team regressing.
Once again, this team can't turn the corner. They just get too comfortable and buy into their own hype and can't take care of business when they should and when it counts most.

In game adjustments are a lot cheaper than firing assistants. Maybe Pete should give that a try.
