Your historical examples have to do with one tribe/nation externally fucking over another. Yes, the West African tribes didn't have the weaponry to prevent themselves from being sold into bondage. The Swayes, as you yourself, have pointed out here several times were fucked at the get go by disease and never had sufficient strength in numbers to keep out whitey. The point in this shitty pole is to illustrate the silliness of myth that our being a well armed private citizenry has prevented tyranny in the United States. It's not the guns that protect our freedom from our own government, it is our strong democratic traditions and respect for rule of law that go back hundreds of years before the signing of the Declaration.
