The Federal Government gained more power as a result of the Civil War. It gained the power to boss around the states. The only good that ever did was when it was used to make states abolish slavery. But hell, slavery was already on the way out. I'd say another 40-60 years and the states would have abolished slavery on their own, as was the trend at the time.
But now we have a Federal Government that forces extra tax money out of people in every state, and then sends it back to the states with strings attached..."Hey Montana, want some tax revenue for your roads? No problem...but FIRST, we need you to lower your speed limit to 65." If the South would have won, we wouldn't have this fucking problem. But all you faggots can think about is "oh the poor slaves". -
If the slaves had guns no need for a civil war
They were an unarmed populace that got fucked. Same with the Swayes, who had some arms but not enough when it would have mattered.
Human history is littered with the powerful fucking the poor. Guns even the field.

There was a fantastic slave revolt in South Carolina where the slaves had guns and numbers. Lost anyway.
Slave revolts usually failed with or without guns due to the slaves' lack of knowledge of military tactics and organization. -
