    I'm not as well versed in energy production as I would like to be but believe a critical look at our consumption of energy is more useful at this time. You should look into how ant colonies grow and reach an equilibrium. This notion of use as much energy as you can was precipitated by a continent that had most of its inhabitants die(indians) and the discovery of a new potent energy source(oil). Keeping this trajectory though will have us writing the same story as the St. Matthew Island Reindeer.

    Sure. It isn't because we spend billions mitigating the impact dams have on ESA listed fish runs and then chew them up in dam turbines.

    The Elwha dam was no longer needed to powet PA's pulp mill and the lower Snake dams fail to provide enough power to justify the damage they do.
