Jayden Jernigan, 4* 2019 DT, Allen, TX (Offered)

He is visiting October 28th.
Jernigan is a 24/7 Composite 4-star DT (Scout: 4-star, 24/7: 3-star, Rivals: 3-star). He is listed at 6-1, 270.
He goes to the same school that Levi Onwuzurike went to. Based on a quick Twitter stalking, he appears to be 100% OKG, like Levi.
His other offers of note: Oklahoma State, Texas Tech

On his film, I think this: he's good. DDY2.
When you see a big DT from Allen, it's easy to think the kid is automatically a world-beater, but I see him as a good, not great, prospect.
But, I definitely like him. Also, great name. That's gotta count for something. -

Yeah. From the little bit I have watched of his film he looks like a solid raw material with some upside but he isn't a freakishly athletic, rare human. But with the right attitude guys like that can turn into really good players under Petersen and Socha.Dennis_DeYoung said:On his film, I think this: he's good. DDY2.

I take no responsibility for not finding a post that has a subject line with literally no useful information in it.GrundleStiltzkin said:
But now that you mention it, I did read that thread.

Some tidbits from his visit report. This could be the most unintentionally funny interview I've ever read:
"Honestly, I was shocked by almost everything I saw. First off, their public transportation there is amazing. You don't even need a car. I took the train right from the airport and took it right back to the airport today."
"Their locker room is huge and it's amazing. The graphics they have in there were really cool too."
"The weather was amazing. The coaches actually were thanking me and my mom. They were like 'thanks for bringing the sunny weather'.
After the game, Jernigan got the chance to spend some time with his friend and former teammate Levi Onwuzurike and another player. "It was cool hanging out with him and with the tight end who got hurt." -
I'm all for the region going $53.6 billion in debt if it gets a 17-year old from Texas to go to school here.bananasnblondes said:Some tidbits from his visit report. This could be the most unintentionally funny interview I've ever read:

Comparatively to Allen, our public transportation is great. As for the sunny weather ... good thing he came this weekend and not next weekend.bananasnblondes said:Some tidbits from his visit report. This could be the most unintentionally funny interview I've ever read:

Now we have to wait and see if Texas kids in the 2020 class are enamored with the engineering feats of the big bertha tunnel... only way to really know if that was a waste or notCokeGreaterThanPepsi said:

Best black irish name since Shaquille O’Neal
I will say, debt aside, taking the train from UW to DT makes the city much smaller. For a Dallas kid to get to ride light rail and not get stabbed and/or HIV is speachel. -
If my $350 car tab gets us this kid, I guess I'm ok with it

Thank you for your service.bananasnblondes said:If my $350 car tab gets us this kid, I guess I'm ok with it
As residents of unincorporated King County, our car tabs were $68 per vehicle.
