One game season
Lose and we go 8-4

This really is the most pivotal, season/program trajectory type of game for us since Stanford last year. If we can tear up the UCLA script and ASU knocks off USC then the revenge game scenario becomes much more probable.

1000% right, but the stakes are higher than that. Adjustments in this game point to Pete's ability to adapt going forward. If we pull the same shit, TPIO.RaceBannon said:Beat UCLA and we win out and win the conference.

If we? lose to UCLA tomorrow, who is going to start firechrispetersen.com? I will donate some $$$$ towards the cause.

IMHO, TPIO is a bit too strong in the instance of a loss. With current model Pete, we're still a nationally relevant program that can compete for conference titles year in year out, in spite of the stubborn headedness in obvious areas that pisses us off. That's still a huge spread from anything we've experienced post James (Lambo and Rick are way below Pete). But at a minimum, it's a very obvious paradigm shift is needed moment- i.e., unless Pete is willing to change his philosophy we'll never have a legit shot at a NT.WilburHooksHands said:

And that's why I scheduled an all day Autocross with the PCA club for Saturday after the family road trip to Tempe. Going out in tire smoke instead of destroying a flat screen after another failed RPO. If they win, I may watch the replay. If they lose again, my Saturday wins even if I limp the car home on a flat bed. Either way, it won't be interesting.
Don't feel right about this game...9-3 sounds more likely than 11-1, IMO.

Right, but if we don't see it now, when will we see it? You think he's willing to throw half a season away?YellowSnow said:But at a minimum, it's a very obvious paradigm shift is needed moment- i.e., unless Pete is willing to change his philosophy we'll never have a legit shot at a NT.

Because he'll be able to win with this philosophy as he gets better QB's and WR's, which is all happening in recruiting right now.WilburHooksHands said:

We might all hate it, and it's a shame to throw this opportunity away. But if we had an upperclass Yankoff and quality WR's this team would be undefeated, even with the inability to prioritize the run.
Pete's going to get it done, even if he screws this year up.
