Staying at the JW Marriott on South Beach. I hope it is just like Miami but without the cubans. Hookers are legal, but cocaine will put you in jail for life. Hookers it is. This flight is going to be painful.

Who are you, James Bond? Closest I've been in that area is Kuala Lumpur. One of the most dangerous looking cities I've been to.

Kuala Lunpur is super safe unless you're Kim Jong Un"s half brother. Bangkok is much more dangerous.

PM to @Swaye. Go to the Maxwell Road hawker centre and get the chicken rice. If you can get the duck rice it's even better because of fatty duck flavor. Never mind that you'll be eating my cousins.

Old Singapore Chinatown is bad ass. Also awesome are the breakfast kopitams. Spring rolls, custard toast and super strong coffee. Get some. The prostututes are there as well.

The Raffles Hotel isn't what it once was. The bar is for tourists and they use a pre made mix for their Singapore Slings. Go elsewhere.

The pool at the Marina Bay Sands is totally worth it.

After Tokyo, Singapore is probably the best food city in Asia. I'm jealous. There's no beach at South Beach, just an FYI. You're next to downtown. Old Chinatown is close.

Also remember that Singapore is on the equator, so hot and humid as fuck year round.

Good pro tips. I am actually there over a weekend so I will get some time to wander. 12 days total trip time, but 3 days of that is just flying to and from. Checked the weather app and it said 89 and thunderstorms every single day for ten days. Guess it's the rainy season. FML again.

It's like a tropics thing. Like clockwork at 1400 or so. Mornings are nice.

Funny. This is a working trip and I am scheduled to be with the client every day from 0900-1300. FML for the third time.

Gimme a fucking break. This is like those fucking stupid Fox News stories talking about "no-go" zones in Stockholm. Here are the hundred most dangerous cities in the world, by murder rates:

    http://www.businessinsider.com/most-violent-cities-in-the-world-2017-4/#2-acapulco-mexico-had-11324-homicides-per-100000-residents-49

KL and other decent places keep track of minor crimes (like muggings and theft), so when there is a spike it gets picked up. Places like Caracas and San Pedro Sula don't because they're too busy scraping people's brains off the sidewalks.

But even that list isn't really accurate, because in places like Kigali, Boma, and Kinshasa they don't even keep track of murders, and in places like Raqqa, Damascus, Tal Afar, and Kabul there's artillery rounds going off and shit. Plus in northern Burma there's ongoing genocide, and in India thousands of people meet violent ends every day, but nobody really notices because the place is so overcrowded and poor.

You're in more danger at a Mexican beach resort than you are in KL.

I drunkenly wandered around KL for three days and only a couple of bar girls tried to rub sarin in my face
