Can we start a special GIF thread focused 3 things:
1. Boomer Sucks
2. Lenius being a GIANT FUCKING PUSSY
3. Brownsocks running backwards giving up unnecessary yards on sacks. -
Found it. It was Fuller.LoneStarDawg said:
The hold was on the receiver (Lenius?) 10 yards downfield when he tackled his block. This is why the LOS after the penalty was unchanged. I'm not surprised that the announcers fucked up the call.GrundleStiltzkin said:Don't get me wrong, boomer sucks but that's a light hold

Edit. maybe not. If he'd kept his feet moving better probably wouldn't be called.
Damn it, all Fuller had to do was get in front of the DB and stop. -
Hilbers seriously whiffed on that. That was the pussiest-ass attempt at blocking I've ever seen. He just kind of stops in front of the defender and puts up his arms. The defender just jogs around him.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Boomer's hold should have been called.LoneStarDawg said:

We shouldn't call him Boomer any more. He gets trucked more often than not.
-
Something had to be called according to the script of the game. That's what happens when you're kicking one away.
-
Saw far too many head-down, ankle dives. WTF? Who taught them to tackle like that? What coach isn't making anyone who attempts tackles like that run stairs for 90 minutes?GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Textbook example of a FS block from the O-Lineman there. Does he not know what "engage" means? Jesus Christ.GrundleStiltzkin said: -

FTFY but you're right. Coleman picks up 4 yards on 3rd & 5 and if Shelton maintains that block, Coleman has to run through one guy for one more yard to pick up 1st down.PurpleBaze said:GrundleStiltzkin said:HilbersColeman Shelton seriously whiffed on that. I only watched the Rutgers and asu game and have concluded Coleman sucks
-
Pardon me for not being up on players' numbers, but isn't Shelton 79 & Hilbers 70? Or is my eyesight going to shit?CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

Okay, thanks to Grundle, I see it's Coleman Shelton.
That's piss-poor effort for someone with so much experience. FUCK! -
Boomer's not to blame here. Lavon cuts it inside when there's plenty of room for him to bounce outside.GrundleStiltzkin said:

Biggest takeaway here is that Myles Bryant is just not good. It's one thing for him to lack the speed and physicality that a guy like Budda had, but he does a poor job of recognizing plays in the flat, can't get off blocks very well, and takes poor angles. Losing Miller really sucks, because I think Joyner was a shoe-in to replace Myles in the slot, but now he's probably going to have to stay outside even when Murphy returns.
We don't even need to rewatch any of this to know how bad Lenius is. Fuck that guy. Cut his ass now, he doesn't even deserve to play out the rest of the season.
I think Boomer gets a bad rap around here. He's no Eldrenkamp, but talk of him sucking has really been overblown.
Tevis is emerging as a true threat. He's versatile, and he's going to be a key guy for us to lean on when Bierria and Victor are gone. -
Well, none of the Huskie kickers could even walk on at the Bellevue CC flag football team, let alone a D2 contender like Central. For one thing, theere is too much wind and the goal posts are not even totally upright.GrundleStiltzkin said: -

had zero interest in watching all of these but did it out of loyalty

Seriously, how the fuck did Tevis make this tackle?GrundleStiltzkin said: -
After this game the bored has a lot of hate in their lives.

Disagree. If Boomer is holding his block and not getting pushed backwards, Shelton doesn't get pushed backwards while pulling and Coleman is more comfortable following Shelton's block.GreenRiverGatorz said:

I still think Coleman could've taken it outside but he saw the defense pushing into the backfield and made the cut. -

Felt like dredging up this thread after it was mentioned at the end of yesterday's podcast.
Talk about an incredibly shitastic game - ineptitude all around. Incredibly, this game didn't kill my inner doog and it should have. Took until 2019 for me to finally break and walk away from this train wreck.
-
Really the first crack in the Petersen armor after leveling up in 2016. This game is just such a disaster and seemed like a chain reaction thing.
-The first loss of the Petersen era against a team they had no business losing to
-The start of the cataclysmic offensive meltdowns against non-elite defenses
-Another drop in the bucket of teams seeing Browning's limitations
-Opponents can see how well putting big DTs right over Nick Harris kills the offense (Oregon feasts on this in 2018/19)
-Trey Adams gets hurt in non-contact goes from (possibly overblown, but still) Top 5 pick in mocks and AA) and ends up basically losing his career
-Rapp breaks Jordan Miller's leg on meaningless tackle after Rube Goldberg final lucky play to win game and Stanford and Penn State kills UW with big receivers on jump balls Miller would have matched up well with
-Loss later results in UW losing the North and a shot at conference title, though I think they would have lost to USC anyways. -
