I wanted to pick 1990 UCLA, because I was at the game and I'm not really over it. Didn't cost us? the Rose Bowl, but it was late in the season and cost UW a #1 ranking.
The 1982 Wazzu loss cost a Rose Bowl berth. -
1990 UCLA 22- 25As much as this past Saturday sucked, I can't see it topping 1990 UCLA. That one to me will always be our greatest day of infamy type loss. Who's to say how the final AP/Coaches Poles would have shaken out in 1990 with CU and Georgia Tech, but 12-1 in 1990 would have been one hell of season. The difference with this year is we just aren't a legit NT contender (i.e., you can't beat Bammer with a Jake level QB unless you get every break imaginable).

the other games just pissed me off. and helped me become the grumpiest loser ever. now that I am an adult? I get over a loss in 2-4 days -

2017 @ ASU 7- 13Good thread. The 2001 Beav game sucked. We went from being talked about as a Natty dark horse to getting plungered by a 5-6 OSU team with Smitty as their QB. SI's #1 preseason team. Simonton and Steven Jackson gashed us all game long.

Kinda made it worse. Beat UCLA and win the natty in 90 and the 91 team doesn't have to split with anybody, and is remembered as one of the greatest teams of all time, not some "could they have beaten Miami" historical footnote.RoadDawg55 said:
