How will smoke affect Raiders, Cal, Stanford games this weekend?

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has warned that air quality in the Bay Area could reach troubling levels on Friday and Saturday.
Cal, which is scheduled to play Washington State Friday night at Memorial Stadium, has a team of officials checking the forecasted air quality for Berkeley. One Cal athletic department official told BearInsider.com they would “follow all NCAA rules and regulations when it comes to air quality for the game” and immediately alert fans if there are any changes to Friday’s game.
“Right now, we are working with our medical team and the Pac-12 to track the air quality every hour to make the best decision for our student-athletes and fans when it comes to hosting the game tomorrow night,” said Geena Serles, an executive at Cal’s ticket office. “As of now, we are planning on playing the game, but if anything changes we will notify everyone with a ticket as soon as possible, probably via email.”
Air Quality Index readings in Berkeley reached 187 on Wednesday. Based on the NCAA’s own regulations, if the air quality gets much worse in the Bay Area, there’s a real chance Cal and Stanford could be postponed.

It is not good down here. I suspect Friday’s game will be cancelled

I didn't appreciate the scope of the fires until I flew over it over the Point Reyes area into Sacramento on Tuesday. The Sacramento area was blanketed. It was like thick fog, way worse than the smoke coverage we had in the Puget Sound area a couple of months ago.
Spots & lines of fire were prominently visible from altitude. Fucking wicked! -
i'm in PA right now
i would be shocked if this gayme is played -

in all seriousness, me too...i'm downtown near Lytton/Emerson right now. You? -
cool... if it gets postponed past when Herbert recovers from injury we? might win

Fuckin pussy Berkeley and Pac 12. These aren't fucking 75 year old lungers out there on the field. Play ball for fucks sake.

Fuck- air quality index around E. Wa, N. Idaho and Montana in early September were pushing 300. High school games were cancelled if AQI was over 150.
If finely conditioned college athletes who smoke copious amounts of dope can't handle 175-180, they are pussies.

AQI dropped from 160 to 151 in the past two hours
forecast for saturday dropped from red to orange
also supposed to clear a lot fri and sat night
im guessing the game gets played
cal/wsu though...

The article also says that the number has dropped into the 80's by 7:30 PM each night, so there's no reasons for the Beardykes to not suit up for their ass whoopin'.Gladstone said:AQI dropped from 160 to 151 in the past two hours

agreed, although reading BI i find it slightly humorous at how much they are crying at having to play:

the cynic in me wonders if they weren't in an 0-3 oblivion spiral if they'd be so gung-ho to cancel. juxtapose that with the stanford bored:

Would be lucky for Oregon if the game was PPD...Would probably play it Conference Championship week (if neither team is playing, which they won't be, cuz UW will skullfuck Stanford) and Herbert would be back
-
maybe they could figure out how to move the game, getting rid of the cougars bye before the apple cup.

You want to know how America’s wake-n-bake region is gonna handle a little smoke?
