"We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."
Anybody still think the Federal Government's interests are to protect the people?

"The Federal Government" = 3 Co-Equal branches, plus the "Deep State" Admin Bureaucratic career employees who stay in place and power regardless of who's in the White House or Congress.
