Sat through a leadership class yesterday and the speaker spoke about evaluating when something has reached its necessary ending, allowing you to focus your energy on more important tasks. Ask yourself three questions:
1. Is the program, division, or employee good, but not the best
2. Is the program, division, or employee sick, and not showing any signs of getting better
3. Is the program, division, or employee no longer producing and just taking up space.
If you answer yes to any of the three ... time to cut the program, division, or employee and focus your resources elsewhere so you can really grow.
I would say Sark falls under 1 and 2. -

I wish I could have heard the call. I will have to listen once it gets online. I am now a huge fan of Danny O'Neill. Someone actually gets it! He even says a road win against Oregon State won't be enough to change his mind unlike other doogs who say he has to win out, like that will actually change anything.

Jood won't openly call out Sark but he has let a lot of negative comments go through in his chats, when Bob almost never did.

Jood is an Oregon fan. There is no point for him to go after Sark. He will get the doog readership by being positive, and Sark will never be a threat to beat Oregon. He's got a great situation.

Guys 9-4 is an improvement this year. If you can't see that the program is headed in the right direction if they go 9-4 then Phil Bleenor can't help you. Hell even 8-5 would be an improvement. 7-6 would be perfectly acceptable as well.
This stuff doesn't happen over night. Do you really want to fire Sark and set our program back 5 years? All the worthy coaches have contracts anyways... -
